Triathlon du Pilon

The Triathlon du Pilon is a May triathlon held in Le Creusot, Saône-et-Loire, within France’s Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. It offers athletes three adult distance options: XS, S, and M. The M race is the longest, featuring a 1.5 km swim, a 39 km bike leg, and a 10 km run. The S race includes a 750 m swim, a 22 km bike leg, and a 5 km run. The XS race is shorter, with a 400 m swim, an 11 km bike leg, and a 2.5 km run. The race takes place in a town marked by Burgundy’s industrial history, where retention ponds and former mining basins are found nearby.
