Urban trail castelnau - Castelnau-le-Lez 2026

Urban Trail Castelnau-le-Lez is an October road race held in Castelnau-le-Lez, near Montpellier in southern France. It begins at the Palais des Sports and offers participants two distance options: a 7 km route and a 15 km route, both starting in the morning, shortly after each other. The race is designed to showcase the town’s neighborhoods and communal gardens, offering a run through Castelnau-le-Lez rather than a typical road race. Both distances commence on the fitness trail, passing through pine-scented areas before diverging into distinct city circuits. The 7 km course goes by Mas des Oliviers, then the Caylus district and its gardens, before returning to the Palais des Sports. The 15 km route includes Le Miradou and its water tower, proceeds through the city center, Place de l’Europe - Simone Veil, and the gardens of Le Devois, before rejoining the fitness trail for the finish. Volunteers and municipal police ensure the race's security, and a portion of the entry fees supports a charity.
