Rosthwaite village in the Lake District serves as the base for this Lakeland classic fell race, now in its 53rd running. This event embodies the spirit of traditional fell running, attracting a dedicated field of experienced competitors.
The Borrowdale Fell Race presents a demanding 27 km course featuring approximately 2000 m of ascent, making it a tough race for experienced fell runners. Entry is carefully vetted, and runners unable to demonstrate sufficient experience will be refused. Competitors can even opt to stay overnight right next to the start line, adding to the immersive, focused atmosphere.
