Bosworth 5

The Bosworth 5 is a 5-mile road race held at Market Bosworth Sports Club in Leicestershire, beginning in the evening in June. It starts and finishes within Market Bosworth village. The field is limited to 400 runners, making it a small local event rather than a large urban race. The route is officially measured, chip timed, and conducted under an England Athletics race license. The course follows country lanes and pavements, featuring an undulating profile instead of a flat, fast route. Runners begin on Coton Lane, just past the Bosworth Water Park entrance. They turn at Far Coton around the one-mile mark, proceed onto Shenton Lane near the second mile, loop back to Coton Lane after the third mile, and utilize a closed road for the final mile before being directed onto the pavement near Wellsborough Road. The race is organized by 1485 Tri Club, with practical facilities including changing rooms and toilets at the start/finish area, and limited parking.
