Devil's Punchbowl 10k

The Devil's Punchbowl 10k is a guided trail run starting from Devil's Punchbowl Car Park in Hindhead, Surrey. It follows paths through the Devil's Punchbowl, a natural amphitheatre and beauty spot. The format is more group outing than competitive race. Running Adventures organises it; entry costs £16, parking is available at the start, and the field is capped at 200 runners. Sunset runs occur in the lighter, warmer months, while night runs are held in the darker, colder months, requiring headtorches. The route covers 10km of trails with numerous hills. The group stops at high points, allowing runners to appreciate the views rather than pushing through every ascent without pause. It is suitable for beginners, particularly those new to trail running or individuals who prefer not to run off-road alone at dusk or in the dark. The guide is Matt Buck, a Salomon and Suunto ambassador, mountain leader, qualified guide, coach, and experienced trail and ultra runner. A complimentary non-alcoholic beer is provided at the finish.
