The North Downs Run is a 30K multi-terrain race across the North Downs in Kent, starting at Cyclopark in Gravesend. The main race begins in the morning, and a Junior Race is also part of the event, meaning the day offers activities for children as well as adults tackling the full distance. It is organised by Istead and Ifield Harriers, with Joyce Bell serving as the organiser.
The course follows established paths through woodland, fields, and parkland, featuring enough hills and uneven ground to distinguish it from a standard road 30K. Runners can anticipate an undulating route that may feel rocky underfoot; past editions have been particularly challenging due to hot weather. The race has been held over forty times, attracts several hundred finishers, and maintains a local club atmosphere: marshals are frequently praised for their friendliness, and participants receive free cake at the finish.
