The Shropshire Historic 50K is a 50-kilometer race held in Shropshire, England, marking the third event in the Shropshire 50 series. It commences beside the visitor centre at Telford Town Park and concludes in Shrewsbury Quarry, near the Hercules statue. The race follows a point-to-point course from Telford to Shrewsbury, featuring official measurement, chip timing, five aid stations, and complimentary photo downloads for participants.
The route incorporates significant Shropshire history across its length. The Silkin Way, Ironbridge, Buildwas Abbey, Much Wenlock Abbey, Wroxeter Roman City, Attingham Park, Shrewsbury Abbey, and Shrewsbury Castle are all situated on or close to the course. Participants who finish receive a unique segment medal. Runners completing the Church Stretton 50K and Shrewsbury 50K in addition can connect their medals to form a complete series award.
