The Argithea Mountain Race Vertical is a short uphill race in Petrilo, Karditsa, held in early June starting from the Mageiros Petrilo settlement. It covers 3.6 km with a 700-metre climb, making the challenge steep rather than lengthy.
The course winds through shaded fir forest before finishing with open alpine vistas. On clear days, runners can view the surrounding high peaks of Argithea, such as Karava, Delidim, Karagounis, and Voutsikaki. The Argithea Mountain Race Organizing Committee organizes the event, and its low entry fee contributes to a local, accessible atmosphere.
