The Gerakones Challenge is a 34 km race within the Andros Trail Challenge, a trail-running event held on the Greek island of Andros. It is part of the Andros Challenge & Festival, a late-spring weekend that also features a swimming challenge and a Drink & Run race. The event was previously known as the Andrus Beer Trail Race Festival; the festival was established to introduce races and public events to Andros.
The 34 km race begins in the morning and is limited to 200 solo participants, with one aid station. The trail program also offers the 15 km Korthi Adventure and shorter options like the Grias Pidima Encounter and Aidonia Encounter, a 5.7 km mountain run with 274 meters of elevation gain. The festival caters to runners, swimmers, visitors, and companions, structuring the weekend with multiple start times.
