Starting from Szabadság utca 1, with race headquarters at the Csobánc cultural house in Tapolca-Diszel, this marks the sixth edition of a low-key trail event focused on running and hiking, not spectacle. Mézeskalács Futás - Martinka Trail has the atmosphere of a club gathering: practical, outdoorsy, and immediately connected to the terrain.
The course is described as "80 percent dirt road, cart track, and trail," indicating varied footing, changes in pace, and terrain where footwear is more critical than finishing times. It is suitable for beginners, families, runners over 60, hikers, and those seeking a light to moderate challenge. Aid includes more than just essentials: water, cola, isotonic drinks, fruit, sweet and savory snacks, fatty bread, and even spritzers are available. Participants receive chip timing, a finisher medal, hot food post-race, and the traditional "free beer at finish."
