Nyíregyháza’s Aquarius Élmény- és Parkfürdő provides a unique setting for this race: a leisure and park bath serving as the center for trail obstacle running. The II. Nyíregyháza Extreme Trail Obstacle Race is terepakadályfutás, meaning it involves barriers and off-road challenges rather than a standard road course. In its second year, participants included solo runners, teams, open starters, and OCR Elite runners. The event is structured around waves, featuring open individual starts alongside the more competitive OCR categories and a "Special kids’ race." Much of the event's character stems from its diverse participants: young runners in the 3-6, 7-9, and 10-12 age groups compete alongside adults tackling the longer obstacle races. It seems to be the type of Extreme Trail Weekend where the park-bath location keeps the course contained, but the competition still requires footwear you don't mind getting dirty.
