Below Solymári Vár, the trails are situated on the edge of the Buda hills, giving this second edition a distinct off-road character without limiting it to mountain runners. Pápai futókör is a "trail-running-style event" offering varied starts for adults, children, beginners, families, and older participants, suggesting a mixed atmosphere rather than an intense competition.
Expect routes close to nature, combining forest dirt roads and asphalt. Longer distances require participants to carry a phone and their own water. The course is marked with painted arrows, ribbons, and signs. All participants return to the same race center and finish below the castle area, where finishers receive a medal, shirt, timing, food, and the customary post-run amenities. The environmentally conscious setup is also appealing; on trails like these, that consideration is important.
