The Misina tető center places this event directly in the Mecsek hills, making the II. Pécs MTB Maraton feel like a true mountain-bike day instead of a flat road race. Though only in its second year, the organization is already race-focused, featuring varied climbs, multiple course choices, and individual chip timing on the race number.
The longer routes repeat the same challenging lap multiple times, typically leading riders to become intimately familiar with every ascent. Separate starts are provided for licensed racers, E-Bike participants, teenagers, and younger children on distinct mini-tracks. A unique family tradition exists on the mini course: an accompanying adult can ride alongside the child. The main race also includes a strict checkpoint; failing to meet the cutoff before the final lap results in disqualification.
