The Notturna di San Giovanni is an 11 km competitive evening race held in Cesena, located in the Forli-Cesena province of Emilia-Romagna. The official rules classify it as a campestre race, certified by ENDAS and organized by Gruppo Podistico Endas Cesena with the support of the Municipality of Cesena. Runners gather in Piazza della Liberta for the competitive race, which begins at 8:00 PM.
Participation is open to adult athletes registered with FIDAL, an Italian sports promotion body, or those holding a RUNCARD, provided they have a valid medical certificate for athletics. Timing is managed by chip. This race has surpassed fifty editions. A unique detail adds a local, practical touch: up to five athletes pushing strollers are permitted and begin the race ten minutes prior to the main group.
