Trail L'Anello del Brigante

Trail L'Anello del Brigante is an October trail race in Roccasecca, a town in the province of Frosinone in Lazio. Its full name, “L'Anello del brigante sulla Via della Filosofia Tomistica,” indicates a local loop route, not a road race, with editions offered at 25 km and 17.9 km. The event is designed for trail runners seeking a demanding challenge, with the course presented by organizers as a test of endurance and determination. The race is part of the Trail delle Contrade circuit and is organized by Polisportiva Ciociara A. Fava with support from Roccasecca, Colle San Manco, and the local Proloco. One 17.9 km edition saw 92 finishers, including 15 women; Andreas Nawratil won the men’s race in 1:32:46, and Maria Casciotti won the women’s race in 1:56:07. The route crosses the countryside surrounding Roccasecca and nearby Colle San Manco, with the “brigante” name providing the event a strong local identity.
