The Valmadrera Sprint Triathlon is a sprint-distance event held on Lake Lecco, organized by Spartacus Events. It follows a practical rhythm: swim in the lake, move through transition efficiently, and then maintain pace on the land course. A previous edition saw 200 registered participants, offering a local feel with competitive racing.
The event reintroduces a triathlon previously held in Valmadrera and is named after the Argentine athlete Luciano Franco Taccone. Taccone is also noted as a past men's winner, finishing ahead of Michele Bonacina and Nicolò Fontana, with Laura Gatti winning the women's race. The objective is clear: manage transitions effectively, stay focused, and race with determination to the finish.
