The CMP Venice Night Trail packs 51 bridges into its 16K night run through Venice's city center. It begins at 8:45 p.m. from Tronchetto Cruise Terminal 123, sending runners into the narrow calli, the everyday lanes that make the city feel like a maze after dark. Venicemarathon organizes the event, capping the field at 5,500 participants for a mass, but not unlimited, race.
Athletes 16 and older can enter. The field is not limited to runners; fitwalkers and Nordic walkers are accepted, with participants allowed to complete the route at their own pace. The race uses bibs with timing chips, provides medical help and refreshments on the route and at the finish, and gives every finisher a commemorative medal. The practical setup is centered on the Venice Running Village at Tronchetto, where race kits and bibs are collected before the start.
