The Fujinoshino Highland Trail Race takes place in the Fuji Oshino highlands each June, marking its 17th year. It is part of the Mt.FUJI100 Friendship Race Series. The event welcomes a wide range of participants; beginners can compete without feeling out of place, and experienced trail runners will find a challenging mountain course.
The organizer supplies course maps, entry details, aid stations, and on-course support, which is important for a trail event requiring more assistance than a road race. This year introduces a family run, extending the day beyond solo competitors. Simple, local traditions mark the finish: participants receive a T-shirt, finishers are given a towel, and pork soup and soba noodles are served post-race.
