Devil's Trail - Rijk van Nijmegen 2026

Devil's Trail - Rijk van Nijmegen is a late-October trail run starting at Camping De Groote Flierenberg in Berg en Dal, Gelderland. Participants can select 11 km, 22 km, or 33 km, suitable for those seeking a short forest race or a longer challenge on the hills. The courses are set in the Rijk van Nijmegen area near the Duivelsberg, with the initial section featuring steep climbs and significant elevation gain. The race features marked routes with junction boards, and participants receive GPX files and maps a week prior. Organizers inspect the course on race morning, employ electronic chip timing, and provide personal results including a video, certificate, and statistics. Late October brings a distinct autumn atmosphere to the forests, with fallen leaves, fungi, chestnuts, and clear vistas. Aid stations provide trail snacks such as sports bars, bananas, chips, fruit, and sweets. At the finish, participants receive Tony's Chocolonely and a beverage, like local specialty beer or organic juice. Each registration includes a donation to Staatsbosbeheer, the Dutch State Forest Service.
