Molenhoeks Makkie

Molenhoeks Makkie is an annual hilly forest run held in Molenhoek, Limburg. The start and finish are located at Via Makkia in the village center. The race includes short children’s distances alongside 5 km, 10 km, and 15 km options, accommodating young runners, beginners, recreational runners, and athletes seeking a challenge. A Mini Makkie covers 600 meters, the Kids Makkie is 2.3 km, and a WandelMakkie is available for walkers. The routes traverse wooded paths, hilly terrain, and some village streets, with longer distances featuring more of the forest course. Live music and entertainment are provided along the route for participants and spectators. The organization shares practical race details like timing, registration, and start times, and maintains archives of photos and results from past editions. The venue is accessible by bike and public transport, with amenities such as water stations, first aid, changing rooms, and showers near the race area.
