Egebergløpet

Egebergløpet is a small running event in Tolga, located in Norway's Østerdal region. The current race options include a half marathon and a 10 km. It typically takes place on the last weekend of July, though organizers have recently experimented with an earlier date. A relay has also been introduced, offering teams a category alongside individual participants. The 10 km race has begun in Bjørsjølia; one recorded field had 35 participants at the start, suggesting a local event rather than a large-scale competition. The race is linked to Tolga's Olsok sports tradition, which originated in the 1890s and was revitalized with sporting events in the 1980s. The Egeberg connection is significant: Ferdinand Egeberg established Norway's honorary prize for all-round sporting achievement in 1919, and skier Oddvar Brå received this award in Tolga in 1988, associated with Egebergs Minneløp.
