The Foodman Challenge is a 3.5 km uphill race in Bjørkelangen, organized by Aurskog-Høland Friidrettslag and Foodman AS. It is a short climb, not a long road race, featuring wave starts allowing walkers, joggers, children, regular runners, and faster competitors to select a pace group.
The course starts with three-quarters of a lap on the athletics track before heading onto the lit trail and then climbing the ski slope. The finish line at the top offers a broad view of Bjørkelangen. The organizers drew inspiration from the local Elgheia opp event, aiming for broad participation from elite athletes to hikers. Post-race, participants receive refreshments from local sponsors, with cash prizes awarded to the top female finishers.
