Forusløpet is a fast road race at Forus, where runners can choose between 5 km or 10 km distances. The entire race utilizes a flat 2.5 km loop with minimal elevation gain of approximately 60 cm. Consequently, the 5 km participants complete two laps, and the 10 km participants complete four laps.
The race was formerly known as Forus perseløp, a name reflecting its emphasis on fast times and personal bests. Norwegian records have been established on the 5 km course, and the event has also featured a 3 km course where national records have been achieved.
