Gloppen Halvmaraton begins at the Sandane sports field, leading runners alongside Gloppefjorden on a nearly flat asphalt course. This autumn event in Gloppen, Norway, features a half marathon and a 10K. The primary start is at 2:00 PM, with an earlier 1:15 PM option for half marathon participants needing extra time. Fjellhug/Vereide IL manages the race, and the half marathon also functions as a regional championship for Sogn og Fjordane FIK.
The course crosses Sandane center, proceeds along FV615 on the south side of Gloppefjorden, makes a turn approximately 3 km beyond Sande, and returns along the same path to the finish. The elevation ranges from 2 to 18 meters above sea level, ensuring a very flat run. Aid stations for the half marathon are positioned at 3 km and 19 km. The 10K welcomes both runners and wheelchair athletes. A recent running saw 230 participants across both distances, reflecting its character as a community event accommodating club runners, championship hopefuls, and those opting for the shorter distance.
