The HA Ottestad race festival takes place at Ottestad Idrettspark in Ottestad, near Hamar, Norway, during late autumn. It offers three race options: HOKA Ottestad Rundt (17 kilometers), Spenst-løpet (5 kilometers), and Sport1-sprinten for children. The 17 km and 5 km races can be run with or without timing, accommodating both those aiming for a specific time and participants who prefer a marked course and a starting point. The sports park provides convenient facilities, including a clubhouse cafe, refreshments, changing rooms, and showers at the start and finish area.
The route follows Ottestadstien, a path that crosses forests, farmland, and open countryside with vistas of Lake Mjøsa. The children's sprint is divided by age group, featuring distances of 400 meters, 1 kilometer, and 1.8 kilometers, offering families a genuine race-day choice alongside the adult events. The festival attracts several hundred participants, including club athletes, local families, and recreational runners. Ottestad Idrettslag, the organizing club, is a long-standing multisport organization with activities spanning football, skiing, handball, cycling, triathlon, volleyball, floorball, and athletics.
