Skudeneshavnløpet 2026

Skudeneshavnløpet is an annual street race through Gamle Skudeneshavn, the old wooden-house town on the southern tip of Karmøy in Rogaland. Locals call the town “Skudnes,” and the race uses that tight harbour setting: runners pass between white-painted wooden houses, with sea air close by and people cheering from verandas. The program is simple and local-friendly, with a free 500 m Havnasprinten for children and families, plus timed 5 km and 10 km races for runners who want a proper start line and results. The 5 km and 10 km routes mix asphalt and gravel, with both courses passing Søragadå, Vikesjøen, and Almanamyrvannet; the longer race also goes by Planteskolen and the town beach at Vigane. The main races are capped at 300 participants, so it feels more like a compact community race than a huge city event. There is professional timing from EQ Timing, medals for all finishers, and a 5 km team competition with a challenge trophy. The race is still young, but it already has the shape of a summer folk festival built around running, families, club runners, and the old streets of Skudeneshavn.
