Vikersundbakken Trappeløp is a stair race held at Vikersundbakken, Norway's ski jump hill. Instead of a typical road or trail, participants ascend the hill repeatedly, with laps counted over extended time limits. The event offers 24-hour and 12-hour races, positioning it as an endurance climb rather than a brief stadium stair sprint.
The course is straightforward in concept but demanding in execution: ascend the ski jump hill, descend, and repeat until time expires. Elite 24-hour finishers have achieved distances equivalent to 47, 41, and 37 laps, highlighting the race's reliance on pacing and resilient legs. The participant roster features club and team runners, with notable affiliations including Kraftia, Gular Orientering, Hagemannshøydemeterfanklubb, and Viasat racing. Arne Dag Myking is the race organizer.
