Bieg Nocy Letniej is a summer street race in Wałbrzych, Poland, built around running after dark on the shortest night of the year. The main race starts at 10:00 PM from Plac Magistracki, with timed 10 km and 5 km options, plus a relaxed 2.5 km companion run without timekeeping. The whole idea is simple: head into the city at night and welcome astronomical summer on foot.
The route uses Wałbrzych city streets and is described as suitable for fast running, so the 10 km gives stronger runners a night challenge while the 5 km lets newer runners try the same atmosphere over a shorter distance. The 2.5 km option is more social than competitive, meant for people who want to run together under the moon. Before the adult races, children get their own Bieg Swietlika, with short distances adjusted for different ages.
