Biegi Kraków is a city race calendar in Kraków running from March to November, featuring nine main events from 5 km races to the full Cracovia Marathon. The season begins with the Grand Prix of Kraków in mountain running in Las Wolski, offering forest routes from about 5 km up to 23 km. Subsequent events include the Krakowski Bieg Swoszowicki, The Color Run Kraków, Business Run Kraków, the PKO Three Mounds Run, the Cracovia Royal Half Marathon, and the Independence Run Kraków. The largest races fill quickly: the marathon has a 9,000-runner limit and typically sells out months in advance, while the Royal Half Marathon accommodates up to 16,000 runners.
The series is effective because Kraków provides runners with two distinct race settings within one season. The road races utilize the city center and major event areas, often starting near TAURON Arena or around Błonia. The mountain events take place in the wooded hills of Las Wolski. The Cracovia Marathon proceeds through the Main Market Square and concludes on the floor of TAURON Arena, a unique feature among Polish marathons. The Three Mounds Run is the most unusual and local race: a 13.1 km route over the Krakus, Wanda, and Kościuszko mounds, promoted as the only event of its kind in Poland. The calendar is also convenient for visiting runners, as Błonia is approximately 20 minutes from the main railway station by tram or bus.
