Pętla Chechelska is a morning 5.18 km race in Świerklaniec, held by the Nakło-Chechło reservoir as a companion event to Świerklaniec Days. It offers two ways to participate: a running race and a Nordic walking march, with walkers starting a few minutes after the runners. The event is local and compact rather than marathon-sized, with just over a hundred registered participants in its current edition.
The course is one full loop around the reservoir, starting and finishing at the campsite area by the water. Most of the route is asphalt, but it also uses bumpy forest paths and gravel, and the distance is not officially certified. Orientation posts around the reservoir help identify locations if someone is injured. The series is in its seventh edition, and participants receive commemorative medals, with medals, gifts, and gift cards awarded to the best performers.
