On Gradowa Hill in Gdańsk, the #RUNGDN Hevelianum event takes place at the Hevelianum science and history complex. This local race day occurs in May, featuring a 5 km run, a 5 km Nordic Walking start, and children’s races of 100 m, 200 m, 400 m, and 800 m. Each start is limited to 75 participants, creating an atmosphere more akin to a small city sports meet than a large-scale race.
The 5 km route remains within the Hevelianum grounds, unlike the broader #RUNGDN series which travels to various city locations. The series comprises four starts, with the top three results determining the overall classification, allowing participants to skip one race without losing their standing. The event draws a mix of regular runners, Nordic walkers, youth racers, and children. The entry package includes chip timing, a medal, and a recovery meal. In a recent edition, the Hevelianum race concluded the series, following victories by Szymon Kopczyński and Zuzanna Głombiowska in three of the four preceding races.
