The Tatra Road Race is a road cycling event for amateurs held in Kościelisko, situated at the base of the Tatra Mountains in southern Poland. Participants seek a demanding day on the bicycle rather than a leisurely mountain ride. The event provides three route options, with the shortest covering approximately 50 km and featuring over 1,350 m of elevation gain.
The courses traverse Podhale, offering clear vistas of the Tatras. The primary difficulty lies in the significant elevation gain incorporated into each route. HARD is the brief yet steep option, AS spans roughly 80 km with more than 2,290 m of climbing, and HELL is approximately 115 km with 3,250 m of climbing for those who feel capable. The race village in Kościelisko serves as a gathering point for returning participants, newcomers, and associates from the amateur cycling community, with finishers receiving a medal upon completing the climbs.
