Ultra Sledz Puszczy Knyszynskiej 2026

Ultra Śledź Puszczy Knyszyńskiej begins in Supraśl, Podlasie, sending participants into the Knyszyn Forest during winter. Snow underfoot and headlamps for night sections are expected. The series includes distances of 62.5 km, 80 km, 160 km, and a 12-hour timed run, catering to both novice ultra runners and those seeking a demanding forest challenge. The 62.5 km Ultra Leszcz is designed for those new to ultras, the 80 km Ultra Śledź is the original distance, the 160 km Ultra Bladzina is for runners aiming for extreme distances, and Ultra T.A.R.P.A.N challenges participants to cover as much ground as possible in 12 hours. The courses feature rugged forest paths, avoiding easy road sections. Expect climbs, bogs, a frozen or partially frozen river, occasional rope bridges, and potentially very deep snow. This race, the oldest ultra in Podlasie, originated from a local appreciation for the forest, winter conditions, and straightforward trail running. Participants travel from all over Poland, supported by volunteers, aid stations, hot meals, and a communal finish-line gathering that reflects the race's remote and distinctive Podlasie character.
