19th Intermarché Caldas das Taipas Run

The Intermarché Caldas das Taipas Run is a town-road event held in Vila de Caldas das Taipas, Guimarães, northern Portugal, in early June. Its main race is a certified 10 km for federated and non-federated runners, featuring electronic chip timing and a place on the World Athletics calendar. The event also includes a 5 km walk open to all and youth races, ensuring the morning is not solely for adult competitors. Everything starts and finishes at Alameda Rosas Guimarães, with the races taking place on streets around the town. Younger runners have specific distances: 650 m for Sub-10 and Sub-12, 1.3 km for Sub-14, 1.95 km for Sub-16, and 2.6 km for Sub-18. The participants range from children to veterans, and the competitive aspect is emphasized with age-group categories, team classifications, cash prizes, trophies, and the unique award of faqueiros for podium finishers in each category.
