Corço Challenge

The Corço Challenge is a 10 km obstacle race held in Grijó, Macedo de Cavaleiros, within Portugal’s Trás-os-Montes region. Taking place in late May, it guides participants through numerous natural and man-made obstacles, positioning it more as a mud-and-obstacle course than a typical road race. The route features elements such as walls, wooden pyramids, tires, mud pits, and sloped structures. It offers chip timing with a 3 hour 30 minute time limit. Participants can choose between the Elite category, requiring strict obstacle completion, or the Fun category, allowing more leniency on obstacles but mandating at least five be cleared. The event is open to individuals aged 14 and older, with awards for top male and female finishers in both categories. Team awards are given to the top three finishers per team, and all participants receive a finisher medal.
