Cross Triathlon Ponte de Lima is an off-road triathlon held in Ponte de Lima, Portugal. It is centered around Alameda de São João, with the riverside serving as the transition area. Competitors complete three continuous stages: a 750 m swim, a 20 km mountain bike ride, and a 5 km run. The course includes both urban segments and more challenging off-road terrain. Escola Desportiva Limiana organizes the event, which is part of the Desafio Norte Triatlo series.
This is a limited, structured race with a cap of 200 participants, with timing based on age groups. Wetsuits are required for the swim. Only mountain bikes are permitted, and participants must wear a rigid helmet securely fastened during the bike leg and when entering the transition area. Relay teams have a dedicated transition park. The course features segment cutoffs, a total race time limit of 4 hours and 40 minutes, two aid stations on the bike course, one aid station during the run, and liquid and solid refreshments available at the finish line. Trophies are awarded to the top three finishers in each age group.
