EDP Porto Marathon

The Porto Marathon begins and ends at Queimódromo in Parque da Cidade, leading runners from the city park towards the Atlantic coast and the Douro River. Runporto has organized this race annually since 2004, held each October or November. It is a standard 42 km road marathon, accompanied by a 15 km Family Race and a 6 km Mini Marathon or walk. This setup accommodates serious marathoners, shorter-distance runners, and those participating in a non-competitive outing. The marathon field numbers in the thousands, with the companion events attracting over 15,000 participants.
