Paiva Montemuro Trail

The Paiva Montemuro Trail begins and ends in Parada de Ester, a village within Castro Daire in northern Portugal. This trail-running event offers two competitive distances: a 30 km trail and a 15 km short trail, alongside a non-competitive 12 km walk. The races are intended for adults, with the walk open to participants aged 14 and above when accompanied by parental authorization. Grupo Desportivo de Parada and Casa do Povo de Parada de Ester are the organizers. The routes traverse the Rio Paiva area and the Serra de Montemuro, providing runners with riverbanks, singletrack, and mountain terrain instead of a basic road course. The course description indicates a technically challenging race, featuring locations like Fragas do Inferno and old mines.
