Trilhos dos Heróis

Trilhos dos Heróis is a sunset trail event held in Vila Franca das Naves, Guarda district, Portugal, based in the Trancoso municipality. The event offers a 31 km trail, a 19 km trail, a 12 km walk, and a children's race named Pequenos Heróis. It is organized by the Bombeiros Voluntários de Vila Franca das Naves, directly supporting the local volunteer firefighters. The routes traverse the firefighters’ forest area near Vila Franca das Naves, featuring significant elevation gains: the 31 km trail includes approximately 1000 m of ascent, the 19 km trail around 650 m, and the 12 km walk about 400 m. The long trail is designated for adults, the short trail is open to participants aged 16 and above, the walk has no age restrictions, and the children's race is for ages 5 to 15. The event unites club runners, walkers, families, and children, with its trail races contributing to ATRP’s national Trail Sprint and Trail circuits.
