Trilhos Loucos da Reixida is a June trail race held in Reixida, a village in Portugal's Leiria region. Its circular routes begin and end at the same point. Participants can select a 20 km Trail Sprint or an 11 km Mini Trail. Walkers have a distinct route of approximately 9 km. The 20 km race includes about 900 m of elevation gain, and the 11 km trail features around 450 m. This event offers short distances with significant climbing. The Associação Cultural, Recreativa e Desportiva de Reixida organizes the race, which is open to adults. It includes chip timing, aid stations, insurance, and a mandatory safety kit comprising a thermal blanket, phone, and whistle.
The routes traverse technical singletrack, forest paths, rural roads, rocky terrain, and mountain sections within the Sr.ª do Monte and Maúnça ranges. The ground is uneven, and the ascents are challenging, making it suitable for runners who prefer rugged trails over flat, fast courses. This is the event's 16th year, maintaining a local club atmosphere. It combines a competitive race environment with post-race lunches for participants and their guests. Showers are available post-race, though hot water is not guaranteed, reflecting the event's practical, village-race character.
