Tough Viking, Slottsskogen, Göteborg (2027)

Tough Viking Slottsskogen is an obstacle race in Göteborg, located within Slottsskogen park. The course spans approximately 8 km and includes around 27 obstacles, emphasizing strength, grip, cold water tolerance, and sustained effort over pure running speed. Registration is handled online, allowing participants to compete individually or in teams, with start times selectable when the race configuration permits. The course navigates the park’s natural trails and undulating terrain, incorporating water elements, strength-focused obstacles, and more intricate challenges. The cold is integral to the event; water sections typically hover around 7-8°C, and ice tanks can be close to 0°C. Seasoned OCR competitors participate for the demanding nature of the event, while newcomers also compete to test their personal limits. Race kit collection occurs at the Tough Viking tents in Slottsskogen. Participants must present valid identification, wear appropriate running or training footwear, and are prohibited from using metal spikes.
