The Beh Hodkovským parkom begins and ends within the castle grounds at Hodkovce, a locality of Žehra in eastern Slovakia. The primary event is an 8 km competitive run crossing Hodkovský park, typically conducted in June, featuring men's and women's age divisions. On the same day, a 4 km Race for Health and a 4 km Nordic Walking option are also offered; both are non-competitive and accessible to all ages.
The course consists of a 2 km loop, which 8 km participants complete four times, and shorter event participants complete twice. The terrain is predominantly field and forest roads, with sections of asphalt, classifying it as a park-and-trail run rather than a pure road race. DOMOVINA n.o., a local non-profit organization situated at the Hodkovce site, is the organizer. The 8 km race is a component of the Slovak Running League. This structure accommodates serious runners seeking a measured league competition while also providing opportunities for walkers, novices, and individuals participating for health or local community engagement.
