The Daniel A. Saldaña 5K is a 3.1-mile community race held in the McAllen, Texas area. The in-person event takes place at Edinburg Municipal Park, with a virtual option available for those unable to attend. It is scheduled for November and has an entry fee of $25. The race aims to raise awareness for epilepsy and to honor individuals lost to SUDEP, or Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy. Funds raised benefit Daniel’s Closet at STC Technology Campus, providing clothing for students, and also contribute to scholarships for students pursuing technology careers. The Mustache 5K is a mustache-themed run at CBS Studios in Studio City, starting at 9:00 a.m. on Radford Avenue. Thousands of runners participate, and the event is known as the world's largest run built around fake facial hair, costumes, and Movember energy. About 2,000 participants dress up in colorful costumes for the theme, making the field resemble a party more than a standard road race. The run supports men's health, with fundraising and attention directed at prostate and testicular cancer. Runners finish into a post-race party with music, food, and drinks.

The Top Gym Road Race is a small road-running event held at Llano Grande Golf Course in Mercedes, Texas. It features a 5K, 10K, and a free Kids Mile. Top Gym co-hosts the race. The adult races begin at 8:00 AM CST, followed by the Kids Mile at 9:00 AM CST. Runners will follow the golf course’s paved pathway. The 5K course consists of one loop, while the 10K course involves completing two loops. Aid stations are located at the start/finish area near mile 1 and again at the race hub around mile 3.1. This is a cupless event, so participants must bring their own cup, bottle, or hydration vest. All finishers receive medals. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female runners. The first 70 registrants will also receive shirts.
