16th Annual Reindeer Run/Walk

The Reindeer Run/Walk is an annual holiday race in American Canyon, California, held in early December. It features a 5K run/walk and a 10K run. Pre-race festivities begin at 8 a.m., with the 10K starting first, followed by the 5K runners, and then the 5K walkers. This event is designed for a wide audience, welcoming walkers, families, children, and runners of all abilities. The event embraces the holiday spirit, particularly for younger participants. Children aged 5 and under receive a finisher’s medal and souvenir antlers, with separate youth pricing for ages 6 to 17. Registration opens with an early-bird period in June. As race fees are non-refundable, unused portions are donated to ACParks. Organizers also promote the race at American Canyon’s Meet Me in the Street community fair, held on the second Wednesday of each month from June through September. Attendees can play games, win prizes, and gather information about the run before the race season begins.
