17th Annual Surfside Beach Turkey Trot 5K presented by Maguire Law Firm 2026

The Surfside Beach Turkey Trot, presented by Maguire Law Firm, is a Thanksgiving morning 5K run/walk. The main race begins at 8:00 a.m. This event marks its 17th year and also features a free 50-yard Gobbler Kids' Dash at 9:00 a.m., allowing families to include younger children in the morning's activities without requiring them to participate in the full 5K. The 5K course begins with an ocean view, proceeds along Ocean Blvd., and then winds through the streets of Surfside Beach. Both runners and walkers participate, but the course has specific restrictions: strollers, baby joggers, skateboards, roller blades, and animals are prohibited, and there is no water stop along the route. Overall awards are determined by gun timing, while age-group awards use chip timing.
