2026 Chessie Trail Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, & 26.2 Relay

The Chessie Trail, America's most spectacular rail trail, offers a smooth, flat, and fast gravel and grass course. Twice voted one of the nation's top three recreational trails, it winds along the wild Maury River. Runners will see peak fall color, pass ruins of stone locks and dams, towering limestone cliffs, and a bamboo forest. It's an ideal run for a first-time marathoner, with no concrete. Walkers are welcome in shorter distances, and relay teams can have runners tackle multiple legs.
