The Rail Trail 10-Miler begins at Liberty Christian Fellowship Church in Seven Valleys, Pennsylvania. It proceeds ten miles north on the York County Heritage Rail Trail. Organized by the York Road Runners Club, the race benefits The ARC of York and Adams Counties, offering participants a point-to-point course instead of a loop.
The route is gradual and downhill, featuring four water stops. The finish line is located just before the trail crosses Princess Street in downtown York. A notable section of the course is the passage through the country's oldest active train tunnel. Following the race, participants can go to the Agricultural and Industrial Museum across the street for refreshments, entertainment, finisher medals, and craft beer from Collusion Tap Works (for those 21 and older). Awards are presented to the top three finishers in the overall, 19-and-under, and 70-and-over categories, as well as in five-year age groups. Limited bus transport from the finish to the start is available for early registrants before the event.
