About
Amy's Adventure Race for the Lake crosses Amy's Park, a Lake George Land Conservancy preserve in North Bolton, New York. The course winds through ponds, marshes, forests, and Adirondack terrain. This annual fall trail race series starts at Amy's Park Preserve on Padanarum Road in Bolton Landing. It offers a 4.5-mile race, a 10-mile loop, and a virtual option. The short course covers approximately 7.2 kilometers, while the 10-mile loop presents a more challenging trail run with about 700 feet of elevation gain.
The Lake George Land Conservancy's NextGeneration Committee, a group of young professionals, organizes and hosts the race. They use events to connect people with the LGLC's conservation efforts for Lake George. Funds raised benefit LGLC conservation programs, including land protection in the Lake George watershed. The committee has helped protect over 14,221 acres. Amy's Park is significant as its wetlands filter pollutants before they enter the lake. Since its inception, the race has generated nearly $8,000 for LGLC programs. Following the race and medal ceremony, participants can enjoy a gathering and raffles at Bolton Landing Brewing Company in downtown Bolton Landing.
