Fast Pace Race is a fall event held in Cumming, Georgia, starting at the Cumming Fairgrounds on Castleberry Road. Participants can select from a 5K, 10K, 15K, or a 1-mile fun run. The longer races commence at the same morning hour, concluding before the fairgrounds. This event is organized by the Forsyth Area Striders Team in partnership with the Prostate Condition Education Council. Proceeds benefit prostate cancer awareness, education, and treatment initiatives. Free PSA testing and DR exams are available on race day, adding a health-screening component to the running event.
The 5K, 10K, and 15K courses follow a point-to-point route. Runners must either take early shuttles from the fairgrounds or travel approximately one mile on sidewalks to reach their respective starting lines. A bag check at the start allows runners to send warm-up clothing back to the fairgrounds, a useful service on cool October mornings. The 1-mile fun run takes place entirely within the fairgrounds, offering a straightforward option for families or less experienced runners. Post-race, participants receive food, drinks, access to restrooms, and awards for overall, masters, and age-group champions. All 15K finishers are awarded a medal.
