Femmes Natales Runabout

The Femmes Natales Runabout is a community race in Thibodaux, Louisiana, held at Peltier Park Drive. This event has taken place for over forty years, offering two straightforward choices: the 5K Runabout Dash and the 1 Mile Wiggin' Out Fun Run. Both distances have youth pricing, making the day suitable for families, walkers, runners, and those wishing to support the cause without intense competition. The Runabout combines running and walking with food, drinks, and music. Each year, funds are raised for a designated recipient or family. The most recent recipient was the family of Heidi Boudreaux, a Houma resident, wife, mother, and registered nurse at Thibodaux Regional Health Systems. She obtained a nursing degree, started her career in the Critical Care Unit, and later paused her nursing work during treatment for stage 4 ovarian cancer, which included chemotherapy, surgery, and a clinical trial at MD Anderson in Houston.
